Trip to Lusaka

Today our phone service provider, Airtel, miraculously decided to work, so I was able to hotspot my computer off of my phone, use data, and update my blog! (Along with do a paypal transfer, a NAPSA payment, a PAYE registration and payment, a newsletter bailout..etc.. !!) So I am a couple of weeks behind, but here is an update on our lives!

On March 22nd, we (our family of 5 plus Mom and Dad) headed to Lusaka for 4 nights in the big city! We had an orthodontist appointment for Cambree, teeth cleanings for the rest of us, an eye appointment for Mom, a doctor's appointment for me & Mom, and Immigration appointments to drop off paperwork! It was busy, but we enjoyed our time there!

First, we had to get across the bridge, which means cramming into a truck and going to the bridge to then walk our luggage across and get on the big bus!

The bus ride took us SEVEN hours due to the bad roads..yuck!

Cason pretty much listened to TobyMac the whole way!

Caedmon and Dad in the front!

Cambree talking Mama Dee's ear off!

We stayed at the Baptist Mission Guesthouse and did end up having some downtime - which means games in our family! Caedmon ALMOST beat Blu in chess!

A massive game of Mexican Train!

On Sunday morning, Caedmon preached at our "house church" service! (Cason led music and Cambree was the "Emcee!"

For us, Lusaka always equals food! We had a quick date night to get cake one night! (My Strawberry Marble cake was the best!)

We love our American dentist from California, Dr. Arnold. No cavities for us!

On Sunday afternoon, we headed to Dream Valley Waterpark for some slides, swimming, and 42 playing!

More food... and drinks!

Cambree ALWAYS orders nshima when we go to restaurants...

We found a frog!

Waiting at the orthodontist...it's an awesome place inside the Romanian Embassy (our orthodontist is from Romania).

We squeezed in time for pedicures for the ladies and a massage for Dad as well!

It was a fun little break from our routine at New Day (and we had internet!), but we were glad to see that bright yellow sign after another 7 hours on the road! Next appointment/Lusaka trip is May 14th!
