Botswana - Wednesday Cookies & Swim!

Wednesday was an EARLY day for us here in Gabs (that's what the locals call it, and we're pretty much locals now that we've been here 2 days...). We had a New Day Board of Directors meeting at 4am, so we were up at 3:20am, and I've been sick and am on my 3rd round of antibiotics and had to wake up at midnight to take them...so yeah, it was quite the day here! But we had fun, and now in the late afternoon sun as I watch the boys swim, I am trying to stay awake!

Breakfast - we couldn't find any bowls so the kids ate their cereal in a pot!

Then we headed to the Kimbroughs for some down time, some lunch, and a cookie decorating contest!

Eating is the best part, right??

Blu won for the "Tallest Cookie!"

Caedmon had a HARD time deciding what to do...

Cason's smiley face!

Dad presenting the award to Mama Dee!

Dad all ready to be the judge!

This is serious stuff! My cookie was the 6/4 domino, but I couldn't get two of the beans apart, so it really turned into a 7/4 domino! (which must be worth a LOT of points!)

Caedmon and Isaac did the dishes!

Hard at work!

Did I mention this was serious stuff? Look at that face!

Mama Dee won the Co-Grand Champion award for her quilt and daisy! She obviously did not belong in our level of competition! (Blake got Co-Grand Champion with a very detailed beach scene!

Look at that smile!

Looking over future house plans in Brownwood!

Another fierce game of Chess!

After the cookie contest, the boys (and me and Cambree) headed back to our house for swimming while the ladies (and Blake and Dad) stayed at the Kimbroughs for naps, workouts, and sewing!
