Happy Easter 2019!

We enjoyed our Easter 2019 here in Texas!  With Blu's side of the family (minus his parents, who are on their cruise), we had an Easter egg hunt on Saturday and a birthday party for Shade.  Then, on Easter Sunday, we worshipped with my parents and Cloud's family and came home to an Easter meal with Mom & Dad, some 42, and then some time with just our Tidwell Five!  It was a great weekend celebrating our reason for hope - the Resurrection!

And jumping off the porch, headed for the hunt!

The Tidwell Five!

We left the kids' Easter baskets in Zambia, so they just assumed there wouldn't be anything for them on Easter morning, but the Easter bunny remembered... ;)
Thank you Easter Bunny!  :)

Cactus corner is complete!

After 5 months of work, Mom & Dad's house is finished!  It took longer than expected due to a location change (thank you, grumpy neighbor), some HUGE rocks we ran into when starting the foundation, and some weather issues, but we are DONE!  After 8 months in the USA, Mom & Dad can finally get settled and start their life of retirement!  (haha - Dad will be pastoring a church in no time, mark my words!)  This was an awesome house to build, because we did almost every bit of it ourselves.  Except for the cement porches, granite countertops, air conditioning, and septic, we did it!  Blu's parents have built tons of houses, but this was our first time to get to experience a house build from the ground up in the USA.  (Things are a little different in Zambia!)  We hope there are more houses to build and/or flip in our future!  Enjoy the pics of Cactus Corner - 1008 square feet of indoor living!

Not great lighting, but this is the guest room, which will serve as Mom's craft room!

Mom & Dad made awesome choices (paint, floors, etc.) to turn Cactus Corner into the "farmhouse" they were wanting.  The outside is gorgeous too, but I will wait until we have cleaned up some to take pics of it!  There is a HUGE covered porch in the back with an amazing view!  We are blessed to have both sets of grandparents within walking distance.  So....who's babysitting first?!

April Fun!

April has been a beautiful month of track meets, baseball, family visits, and finishing up Mom & Dad's house!  In completely random order, here are some pictures that show everything that's been going on in our lives!

Cheering squad at the District Track Meet!
Cason & AJ terrorizing Paw!

Bmaw, a rare moment when she's not behind the camera!

Cambree ran the 800m at the District Track Meet and got a PR!

So handsome - Caedmon ready for his first baseball game!

I absolutely LOVE Ventura Castaneda!!

The gang all gathered to watch Cason's first baseball game!

Final pep talk before the game!

How Cason felt the morning after his very late baseball game!

Caedmon got 2 hits his first game, one hit his second game, stole second, and scored a run!  Baseball seems to come pretty naturally to him!

Braids and phones :)

Mom learned how to grout!

Daddy still managing to carry a sleeping Cambree upstairs to bed!

First baseball game!  He didn't see much action out in left field and was pretty terrified at the plate when batting, but he'll get it!  And they got the win, which means a free drink at the concession stand, which was definitely his favorite part!

Pyramids with Uncle Cloud in the park!

Brendan lives in Cancun so we don't get to see him much, but we love it when he's here!

Handsome guys!
Poor Blu, always plumbing!

Paw & Caed

Shade & Caity

Cambree & Keira - selfies in the church bathroom!

Caedmon keeps us all laughing!

Cloud & Rita are here from Costa Rica!  Cloud is here with Brenden for 2 weeks, but Rita & Keysi will be here for 2-4 months as they wait for their green cards to come in!  Keysi will start school Monday, and they are living in a house in Bangs temporarily.
Cason, who rarely stops moving long enough for a picture!
