Spring is Coming!

Even though it's still pretty cool outside, we definitely feel like Spring is upon us!  The first track meet for Caedmon & Cambree is this week, Baseball is starting, cheerleading tryouts are this week, and we are starting to fill out summer camp forms!  We are excited to spend Spring in the USA and experience the bluebonnets, Easter, and allergies!  ;)

All ready for his first time to play baseball!  He and Blu and Cason went to the local baseball clinic to learn some basics before the season starts!  He's a natural!
Oh so handsome!  Cason is excited to play!

We spent Friday evening at a high school basketball playoff game that happened to be played in Bangs, and happened to be played by my high school coach's team!  It' SO great to get to see Coach Cain ever so often now that we live closer!

Hugs!  He was my coach from 8th-12th grade!

I hadn't seen Mrs. Cain since our wedding 18 years ago, so it was great to catch up!!

Cambree looking gorgeous in a new dress!

There's been lots of cheerleading practice around here, as Cambree will try out for Junior High Cheerleader on Wednesday!  Daddy has been helping out.. ;)

Cambree's good friend Hannon came over for an afternoon to help her learn the fight song!

Tired after a long day of cheer practice and fun with friends!

We are still busy working in the shop and delivering!  We look forward to the yummy food we eat on deliveries!  We had been craving IHOP for a long time!

We had FIVE different stops in the Dallas/Fort Worth area last Friday!  We leave at 5:30am and try to make it home by 5pm!

Which one is the best?  Serious questions around here...

We still play lots of games in the evenings!  Here they're playing Nerts, with Cambree in her commanding standing pose!

And some Ninja Turtle Monopoly, where Blu annihilated us!

Panama Day 5 - Part Two!

We found the Charro Las Mosas waterfall and managed to avoid the $1 entrance fee since the front gate had just closed!  We hopped the fence with some others (I know...I know...) and hiked the 5 minutes down to this gorgeous area!  We had almost the whole place to ourselves and swam around for about 30 minutes before heading back!

We made it back to the airport just after 10pm and settled in for the long wait until our 3:18am flight!

We had a 3 hour flight to Fort Lauderdale, a race through customs, and we boarded our plane for Dallas with 13 minutes to spare before takeoff.  According to Blu, this is how I looked for the entire 3 hour flight!
And that's a wrap on our Blu/Darbi trip for 2019!  It was quite the adventure - we will never forget navigating the streets of Panama City together!  It was awesome to check another country off of our list (we have a huge map with red pushpins in it in our bedroom!) and to get to see the Panama Canal!    Here's to the next adventure! (And to everyday, real life too, because that's just as fun!)

Panama Day 5 - Part One!

On Friday, we had the entire day to kill, since our flight wasn't until 3am that night (yuck!)  So we slept in again, had breakfast, hung around the room watching tv, and then headed out to see what else we could see in Panama!

We started by tracking down one of Cloud's stores in the city!  Ross (Blu's cousin who lives in Panama full-time running the Panama side of the business) wasn't around, but we tried to speak Spanish to the employees, and Blu left a message for Cloud, who will be there next week!  ;)
We then headed on a 3 hour trip down the coast - the Golden Arches were calling for lunch!
Our destination was El Valle de Anton - a gorgeous inhabited volcano town about 3 hours out of Panama City!  There was hiking and waterfalls, so we headed up to hike the Sleeping Indian!  As we were looking for where the trail started, a group of kids yelled at us to park at their house "Yo Watch Car!" and one of them said he would lead us up the trail!
So off we went, with Juan and Carlos leading the way...straight uphill!!

I was having my doubts right about now!

It just kept going...and going!!

And going...

At this point, I realized how out of shape I am!

Please shoot me.

Smiles when we finally reached the top!

I'll just be sitting here for awhile!
Our two little leaders, cousins Carlos and Juan!

He made it!  This hill is officially called Cerra El Sille.

The panoramic view of the town down in the valley!

The way down will be much easier...so they said!

Now that's a happy face - because we reached the bottom!  (And Jorge was still watching our rental car!)
From here, we left our posse of kids and headed to the edge of town to check out the Chorro Las Mosas waterfalls!  They did not disappoint!
