Well, Thanksgiving looked a little different for us than we were planning! After finishing the house in Bangs, we planned to take a little trip with our kids to the beach in Florida! But as it got closer and closer (like 3 days away), and Covid cases in our area kept rising, we feared that one of our kids would be mandatory quarantined and that we'd have to cancel. Or...that we'd get sick in Florida and get stuck there, not able to fly back until we were well. So, it seemed the best decision was to cancel, get our hotel money back, and save our flight credits for a future trip! So we stayed in Brownwood and had a great week spending time as a family! We asked each person to write down a couple of things they'd love to do as a family - we came up with a Heroes marathon (our current show we're watching as a family), golfing, cutting down a real Christmas tree, a game of Settlers, rollerskating, sleeping in every day, etc.! We got most of it accomplished this week! <br>

My whole life, I have wanted a real tree! This year, we discovered a Christmas tree farm just 20 minutes from us, so I convinced Blu and the kids to do it! They laughed at me and joked about the size of the trees the ENTIRE time, but I loved every second of the experience!

Now it's back to real life for a few weeks before Christmas! This coming week, we have work in the shop, work on the houses, OAP auditions, church, multiple early morning basketball practices, and 5 basketball games! Tis the season!
