Kids Club

Kids Club is still going strong - we are almost at the 2 month point! We have around 150 kids each week, and most of them are the same ones. We are slowly learning their names and getting to know them. A few have started coming to church on Sundays as well! When the kids arrive at 3pm, they play soccer, jump rope, keep away, hula hoop, and play on the playground. At 4:30pm we have a short devotional. Today was the first lesson that clearly presented the Gospel message. Using an example of a flashlight that worked perfectly with batteries and then a flashlight that had a dirty rag in it and wouldn't work, Darbi explained to the kids how Jesus can come into their hearts and make them shine for Him. Without Him though, we are dirty inside and can't "work" as He designed us to. Though no kids prayed to receive Christ that we are aware of, we know that this was the first time that many of them heard about Jesus coming into their hearts and changing them. We can't wait to see what the future holds for these kids!! And then...it's time for a HUGE plate of nshima, beans, cabbage, and some fresh milk from Martha the Cow! :) Darbi taking a turn stirring the nshima!
Wiven and Bright wash their hands and get their plates
Little Richard with a milk mustache :)
This little girl's belly was HUGE after she ate a full plate and drank a cup of milk!!
