Field Trip to Lusaka!!!

Here is a glimpse of our last 3 days in Lusaka with the kids. First of all, I want to thank EVERY person who donated money to make this field trip possible. All of the kids were able to go to the dentist, go to the zoo, swim, play sports, see a movie, and experience their capitol city! If I could say the one thing that they were the most fascinated with it would be....traffic lights!!! As Teacher Abby said, the kids have had a lot of learning but none of it has been practical. For instance they learned all about policemen and traffic lights this year, but to see them with their own eyes were just amazing to them! I will say this - my favorite quote of the trip came from Misheck. When I told him about something he would see, his eyes lit up and he said, "I saw that in a book!!" It made me SO happy to know that our kids are learning from books! It was a wonderful trip, even though it rained on us for a solid day and the tents and blankets all got wet! We are excited to do it all again - in about a year ;) Look what we found in Lusaka - DR. PEPPER!!
