Weekend in Alvarado!!

I know so many of you are just DYING to hear about our weekend travels! :) Our weekend began with some great 42 playing with Mom & Dad as they made the trek to Early! Saturday it was time to head to Caedmon's soccer game! His team hasn't won a game (and has only scored one goal!) but they are getting better each week, and we are so proud of Caedmon! He runs and runs and runs!

Me & Mom looking stylish while we watch the game :)

Then we drove 2 1/2 hours to Alvarado! Alvarado was where we spent our 4 years in between our time in Zambia. If God had called us to stay there and be the youth minister forever, we could have done it - we loved our time there! We stayed with our good friends, Bro. Wade & Laura and daughters Brindley & Joanna! Here is me & Laura

Hard to believe our BB is 20 now!! Caedmon loves his BB!!

And Jo-nee-nana is now 18!!! Thankfully they STILL love to entertain my kids!! They took the boys to Cici's Pizza and the park!

They have been our favorite babysitters for a LONG time!

Always fun to get to see our former youth, all grown up! (and with stuff hanging out of their noses!)

Cassie!

Cambree loves her "Ms. Telly!"

Lunch with some of our favorite people! (and 1/2 of Lynzi!)

Caedmon's best USA friend - Wyatt. Here they are at 4 years old!

And here they are on Sunday morning - still best buds! They used to run laps around the church when they were young, and one Sunday they hid under some tables in a dark classroom, leading us to believe they'd disappeared outside or been kidnapped!! They have been buddies since their first church function when they were 9 months old!

The kids missed school today as we all headed to the doctor for our big physicals that we do every 2 years! There were shots, flu mists, bloodwork, ear washes, etc. flying around! Thankfully everyone is healthy - Caedmon is awaiting results of a malaria test and Cason has to have an echocardiogram for a heart murmur. You can tell in this picture the kids were NOT thrilled with getting blood drawn!
