We had quite the 4th of July celebration at New Day today! 15 adults and 12 children from Texas (Tidwells, Carolyn, Diana, Allison, Melody & Katie), Nebraska (Laurie), Missouri (Wes), Georgia (Lynne & Larry), Ohio (Heater family of 8 - missionaries in Choma), & West Virginia (Smith family of 5 - missionaries in Choma)! We had lots of food, games, kids' activities, and of course, there's always an adventure at New Day... ;)
That's a lot of kids on a trampoline!
Laurie creamed Wes on the tongue depressor dice-stacking game!
But he got revenge on the ping pong toss!
Husband & wife Jamie & Mandy were SO close!
Katie & Jeremy
Lynne took on Caedmon in the cup stacking game
Melody & Katie enjoying their Zambian 4th
This is my "Please tell me my time beat Blu's time!" in the cup pyramid game!
Yummy dessert table - chocolate cake, apple crisp, cherry cheesecake, popcorn balls, and sugar cookies for the kids to decorate!
Larry is enjoying his bite!
Gretchen & her son Ethan in the dice challenge
Noah ran over at the end of the party to tell us Martha the Cow was very sick and would not stand up. Thankfully, Jeremy has a lot of cow experience and knew what to do! We got medicine rushed here from Choma - thinking maybe a calcium deficiency? WE NEED YOU DEBBIE!! ;)
They had to load Martha into the back of the canter truck to get her back into her pen - not good! :(
We had a fun craft for the kids
I admit it, publicly, on my blog. My husband CREAMED me at the DUMB dice-stacking game.
Carolyn takes on Blu in the cup stacking game
Carolyn was SO fast at the straw blowing game that I couldn't even get a picture of her doing it! She led her team to victory!
You never know what Cason is up to...or why he's holding an oven rack???
Cason doesn't like people watching him, but he did try the straw blowing game :)
Cambree DOESN'T mind everyone looking at her :)
Cambree is best buddies with her friend Jorja!
That tongue is really helping her!
The kids' favorite tree :)
Caedmon took the longest and made a great craft :)
Even though he's pretty shy, he loved playing all of the games!
The boy can climb some trees!
Allison didn't want to play, but I FORCED her so I would have a picture of her to blog!! :) More on Allison in a future blog - that girl is amazing and has helped us SO much this summer!
This is my "I forgive Blu for creaming me in the dumb dice game" face :)
And finally, we have Blu's imitation of Martha the Cow
Happy Fourth of July! Living in a 3rd world country makes us very grateful for our home country!
