Thanksgiving 2019!

We are having a great Thanksgiving week celebration with a lot of family in town, a lot of laughter, and a lot of food!  Here's a look!

We kicked off Thanksgiving week with a Sunday night cookout at Paw and Bmaw's!  Most of the Howells (her brothers/their families) were there, and the food was great as usual!

Cason and Uncle Robin

Cambree & Andie - our kids still had to go to school the next 2 days!

Caedmon & Paw

The cousins have spent every free second (weather permitting) working on their conversation of a huge chicken coop into the "Cuzinz Fort!"

On Monday, my new cousin Toni stopped by for lunch on her way from Arizona to San Antonio!  We found Toni when I did an Ancestry DNA profile and she showed up as a first cousin match.  It turned out she had been searching for her biological dad, who turned out to be my mom's brother - all confirmed with DNA tests.  Crazy!

Grandma Marie, Mama, me, and Toni Marie

On Tuesday, after Caedmon's first basketball game, the Tidwell gang (three brothers and their fams) headed to Chickfila and to see Frozen 2!

Cambree and Keysi back together again!

Of course, we've had a couple of sleepovers thrown in there!

On Wednesday (when the weather turned frigid!) we went out to Heart of Texas Baptist Encampment and made use of their zip line, ropes course, rock wall, and free fall for a couple of hours!  Bmaw had been given a gift certificate for an hour's play for 20 of her family members - what a great gift!

It took me a LONG time to scoot off of the side of that building for the zip line!

It was fun.  I'll never do it again.

Everyone else thought it was awesome!

Cason the corpse!

Love that smile on Paw!

Caedmon isn't much for heights, or jumping off of things, so he stuck to the rock wall!

So handsome!

The ropes course was my favorite part!

Blu on the rock wall.  Of course his brothers decided it was a competition for who could get to the top the fastest!  (Of course Blu won. ;)

And Paw somehow ended up on the ground!

It was a high ropes course!

So the free fall..basically you step off the side of the building and free fall for 2.5 seconds and then land easily.  Well you're SUPPOSED to land easily...

I was completely terrified.

And did not manage to land on my feet.

Sooo....I tried again.

Same result..this time I slammed my head into that wall..thank goodness for helmets!

Blu doing the free fall!

Such a good picture of Shade and Andie!  Poor AJ was sick so Caity and AJ missed out on this.

On to Thursday, actual Thanksgiving Day...we had a Winsman Thanksgiving over at Mom and Dad's with Grandma Marie (and Paw and Bmaw!)

Lots of domino playing!  (Girls won 3 in a row at 42!)

Family pic!

Four generations!

Mom thought something was very funny in this picture...

And in this one....

It has been great to spend a little time with Grandma Marie - she's 85 years old (I think?) and still going pretty strong!
So that's a look at our Sunday - Thursday.. today is Tidwell Family Christmas, and tomorrow is Howell Family Thanksgiving, so lots still going on!  AND today is 2 weeks until we leave for Zambia!
