New Day Happenings!

It's been busy around here (when is it not?!), so I thought I'd give you a glimpse of what's been going on the last few days! Our Crosbyton team left on June 30th, and we had a few extra days with volunteers Kailyn, Jamee, and Erin. We also had a 4 day weekend as July 4th and 5th are Zambian national holidays as well! Now that Wes & Laurie are back, we finally found a window of time where EVERY staff member was at New Day and we could take our annual staff/kids pictures! Time for some tie-dye! Here is a sneak peek - I'm not showing you everything, but let me just say the New Day calendars this year are going to be AWESOME!

The Tidwells :)

These girls served their hearts out from January - June of this year - they are forever in our hearts!

We had an American fellowship campfire on July 3rd to celebrate the 4th - hot dogs, chips, baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, cheesecake, fruit, banana pudding, apple pies, banana bread, cupcakes, sparklers and very pathetic Zambian fireworks, and singing the Star Spangled banner around the fire!

Dad preached his first sermon...and only used Spanish instead of Tonga once!

Meanwhile, at Kids Club, we had 237 kids and even killed a snake at the end!

During the school holiday, the boys stayed busy doing chores - cleaning corrals, helping clean the garage, and killing a snake as well!

On the actual 4th, Blu & I drove to Livingstone to take Kailyn, Jamee, and Erin to the airport. Once they were dropped off, we rushed to Ocean Basket for a lunch date before heading back to the airport to pick up our first European volunteer from Denmark!

We are all enjoying our day off today, and then tomorrow is back to work with 3 1/2 more weeks of this school term!
