We have a very sweet lady in our church (Mrs. Bonnie) who lost her husband during Covid. She lives near us, so her family knows that Blu can go and help when needed - he's helped with some plumbing issues, when someone in the house fell, and during the fire evacuations. As a thank you, Mrs. Bonnie's son and daughter-in-law booked us 2 nights at a bed & breakfast in Fredericksburg! It took us about 6 months to figure out a time to use it, but we finally booked it in between Preteen Camp and the Milwaukee mission trip and snuck away for a couple of days!
But first...look what Blu got for Fathers' Day! He's wanted to get this "for the boys" for awhile...I finally realized he wanted it for himself so I surprised him with it!
And a meal of chicken tikka masala, basmati rice, and homemade naan!
Meanwhile, in Fredericksburg, we played 4 games of Scrabble!
And 2 games of Trivial Pursuit!
Our bed & breakfast was adorable!
We ate at Auslander, where I had the Hanchen salad sandwich on pumpernickel bread with German potatoes!
Of course, we HAD to make a trip to Luckenbach to scratch that off our Texas bucket list!
We sat and listened to the live music for awhile..not long..it was hot!
