This weekend was a fun one! Cambree headed to Mama Dee & Grandpa's house for her one-on-one date with them. Meanwhile, the boys stayed in Brownwood with Paw & B-Maw! Caedmon's soccer game was cancelled due to rain, but the Brownwood Reunion Carnival was going on, so we took the boys there. We definitely have one cautious child and one fearless child - can you tell which is which?? :)
This was a really fast roller coaster for a 4 year old but Cason loved it!
I loved doing the ferris wheel with Cason!
Blu & Caedmon are down there somewhere watching!
Cason always wants to go on these big slides!
We MADE Caedmon do a ride and he was NOT happy about it..
Then he realized maybe it wasn't so bad...
But he sure didn't want to do this one either...
Cason's face cracks me up :)
Finally Caedmon found something he wanted to do!
He won a sword! (translation = I paid $5 for a sword...)
After the carnival, Blu & I headed back out to West Texas to speak at Abundant Harvest Church in Brownfield. I was a camera slacker and didn't take ANY pictures! :( But we had a great time - the worship was amazing, we met a lot of nice people, and we ate some good Italian food (with cappuccino pie for dessert - how did I not get a picture of that!!!????)
We got the kids off to school today and then this evening we had dinner with some sweet friends who knew me from 9th - 12th grades. Mr. Allen was the principal in Bartlett and I babysat for them frequently. I won't tell you how old their kids are now because that makes me OLD!! You can read an amazing article about their son here - he has recovered completely!! Mr. Allen is the principal at Brownwood Junior High, and Mrs. Allen is a speech therapist for Early ISD. They have a swimming pool that our kids loved swimming in even though it's cooling off in Texas!
We have a busy rest of the week - hosting some friends for supper on Tuesday night, another Baptist Standard photo shoot on Wednesday night, Blu's birthday bash on Thursday night, a surprise trip for our kids on Friday night, and headed out to Lubbock for another weekend speaking about New Day! I'll try to keep you posted with pics!
