Camping Trip!

We took all 19 New Day kids and 10 adults to Lochinvar National Park on an overnight camping trip! We got to tour the park and see the big baobab tree, drum rocks, Kafue River, and tons of animals (lechwe, impala, kudu, cape buffalo, monkeys, baboons, and tons of birds!) The kids also got to roast marshmallows for the first time! They all had a blast, and we would do it again in a heartbeat...in a few months... :) Ready to go on the New Day bus!
I love this pic - had to take a pit stop on the way for the boys!
The whole group!
The kids got to see this huge baobab tree and even go inside of it!

Teacher Carolyn was a trooper!
Boys ready to sleep in their tent! (lots of wrestling went on in there!)
The girls giggled and giggled and giggled in their tent at night :)
Caedmon helped get lots of firewood
The kids loved the "drum rocks." If you found the right spot to bang, they sounded hollow, exactly like a drum! Muchoni jamming away!
Our staffers had as good of a time as the kids did!
Kelitah checking out the hot springs
Lunch - I think I ate enough nshima to hold me for the next few weeks or so! :)
Laurie & Cambree loved the buffalo skull
