Volunteer Requests

First of all, sorry about the format of this post. Blogger has a mind of its own and ignores my spacing! Elementary Teacher - One Year Commitment January 2013 - December 2013 New Day Orphanage is seeking an experienced elementary teacher to spend one school year (Jan-Dec) at New Day teaching either Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade. Volunteer Coordinator - Six month commitment March 2013 - September 2013 New Day Orphanage is seeking a person or couple to serve as a coordinator for all volunteer teams in the 2013 summer season. This person will communicate with teams, organize food and housing, and organize all activities for teams. The months of March & April will be spent learning the assignment and training Zambian cooks, with the months of May - August spent leading teams. This person must have a current license to drive a school bus! Nurse - One year commitment beginning January 2013 or later New Day Orphanage is seeking a nurse to live at New Day for one year or more. This person would be instrumental in setting up a basic first-aid type clinic at New Day, overseeing the medical care of the orphans, and serving as a liaison between the local clinics/hospitals. There will also be opportunities for volunteering at the local hospitals and for teaching health and wellness classes to the people in villages surrounding the orphanage. *All prospective volunteers must complete a volunteer application, submit three letters of recommendation (pastor, work-related, other non-family), submit a copy of their personal testimony, and submit copies of degrees or certificates for the job you are applying for.* For additional questions, please contact Darbi at blutidwell@sbcglobal.net
