Paw arrived last Wednesday, and the kids have really enjoyed having him here! Here's a glimpse at our first few days together, while Paw was recovering from jet lag! :)
We picked him up from the airport at 9pm - a little past bedtime!
He's gonna be a heartbreaker...
Paw and Caedmon enjoy a game of Guess Who
Love this pic!! - They were racing and Cambree had to turn around to see where Paw was!
We stayed at an amazing place called the Flying Mission. We got to eat great food, meet people and missionaries from all over the world, swim in a pool, and play with all the toys in the huge toybox! There were fruit trees all over the grounds--avocados, bananas, papayas, and lemons!
We stayed in Lusaka for 2 days until Steve and Josh Duncan arrived from College Station, TX. Blu and his dad were able to buy all of the electrical equipment that we need to get electricity to the land--$22,000 worth of stuff!! It sounds like a lot, but the electric company had previously quoted us $51,000 to do it, so when Blu's dad said "I can do it cheaper", we said let's do it!
Steve and Josh have arrived (loaded down with tons of fruit rollups, instant oatmeal, and CHOCOLATE for us!) and the guys have now embarked on their week long camping trip to Mapanza to work. Blu, Steve, and Paw speak their own language when they start talking about construction, electricity, and septic systems! I'm sure it will be a great week and that tons will get accomplished on the land!
