Another year at Falls Creek is in the books!! It was a GREAT week of camp, and I'm not just saying that. I attribute that to a lot of different things:
1) The week was covered, bathed, soaked in prayer. We had wristbands for each student/sponsor that people in our church took and wore and committed to pray for every day of camp. I sent out some individual requests to a couple of close friends asking them to pray specifically for some of our students. There were just SO MANY PEOPLE praying, and it made a difference. God moved in the hearts of SO MANY OF OUR KIDS. (And adults :)
2) Out of our 10 sponsors/cooks, only one was new - the rest all went last year. Everyone knew exactly what to expect, where everything was, and how much freedom we could give (or not give) the kids. ;)
3) Out of the 50 students we took this year, only about 10 were new. Having the same group of kids there two years in a row eased a TON of headaches! Also, because so many of them are solid in the youth group, we were a year further down the road in our relationships with them. They were a GREAT group of kids - no attitudes, no complaining, and very few issues. And something unique about this group - they LOVE to worship - they love music. It makes a difference when the kids are excited to start and end each day with worship!

These were Blu's "inmates" for 24 hours after getting caught alone and not in their group of 3. They didn't mind spending 24 hours with Blu at all!

One more summer "event" for us! We fly to Florida early Tuesday morning to spend a few days relaxing before we pick up Cambree on Thursday evening!! We are SO EXCITED to see her and get back to our family of five again!!!!! :)
