August is Done!

Well, here we are, almost to September!!  I'm SOOOO ready for Fall!  I feel like last Fall, I missed out on just savoring it, because I was SO stressed and busy preparing for our Christmas trip to Zambia!  This year, I'm committed to savoring every moment of this Fall season in our lives!  <br>

Speaking of Fall, the high school Fall musical auditions are TODAY!  Blu helped the kids a ton with their solos and their lines for the audition for Fiddler on the Roof!

Caedmon is a character, for sure..

Blu and Landon (our friend and youth intern) have a new gig - a fb live stream with commentary of the Friday night football games!

Speaking of football, Caedmon had his first JV game of the year last Thursday!  (Lost 38-0, boo...)

He said it was HOT and he hated wearing his mask!

#6 getting the tackle!

Throw him the ball!

We MELTED in the 102 degree heat...

Blu was hungry.  And thirsty.

Caedmon is the kicker, but he only got to kick off once since we didn't score after that!

Little brother = Biggest fan!

Banners are in!

My very own Blu Aikman!

Cambree is also melting in the mascot suit!  Thankfully, she has an ice vest to wear!

One of Caedmon's best friends, Matthew from church, came to see his first football game!

Official cheer pics are in!

Perhaps a little biased, but isn't she gorgeous????

We are having massive numbers of youth come on Wednesday nights...we had 55 last week!  This was Blu giving a speech to the 7th graders entitled, "What to Do When Your Ex Comes to Church...." ;)

Caedmon got a new (to him) truck!!  We'd been searching for the perfect truck for him - we finally settled on a 1998 (a great year!) Ford F-150 in Aggie maroon.  It's also a stick shift, which Blu REALLY wanted him to learn to drive!

I feel very old...

Cason heading to the car after his first after school football practice!!  He melted too!  He's playing fullback and linebacker!

Our go-to meal lately - chicken strips and my homemade chickfila sauce!

Getting the truck clean!

Don't be fooled though - this is really what we spend hours doing....Algebra 2, Chemistry, English, and 7th grade Math....

This boy always makes me smile!

Watering Bmaw's plants in the Texas heat!  AND...I've lost 10 pounds since Spring Break!

Even Percy is melting!
