Happy 14th Birthday Caedmon!

We spent a few days celebrating Caedmon's 14th birthday this weekend!  It was a little strange - Caedmon has had his last NINE birthdays in Zambia, so it definitely felt a little weird.  We missed our annual birthday sleepover, and I missed making party invitations to hand out to the New Day kids!  But we asked Caedmon what he wanted to do, and he just wanted a big pool party with tons of people over swimming, hanging out, and grilling burgers, so that's what we did!  He invited a ton of people and 21 were able to come!  It was great to get to know some of these kids and their parents!

I have to admit, this party was SO easy compared to past years of making homemade corn dogs, homemade cake, etc!  We bought frozen hamburger patties, chips, cokes, cookie cakes...DONE!

But by afternoon, it looked like this - what a blessing!

On Saturday, we had Cloud's family and most of Shade's family over for a cookout and spent some time together.  We then watched a fun movie as a family and later had the Prescotts over for supper and games!  We stayed up WAY too late on a church night!

And then on Sunday, Caedmon's actual birthday, we woke up and had waffles and opened presents and then went to church.  (Blu played his guitar and sang special music and it was awesome!)  In the afternoon, we swam and then had MORE family over for another meal and more presents, basketball, and pool games!  We had a blast!  (And if anyone needs me, I will NOT be hosting anything else for awhile! ;)

Sunday morning gifts!  He got a water gun from Cason, body wash from Cambree, and a book, workout clothes, a workout bag, Subway gift card, Rubix cubes, and a Fitbit Versa from us!

On Sunday evening, we had a family get-together for Caedmon!  He got some great gifts and I loved his smile when opening them!

Caedmon had a great day!  Tomorrow starts summer workouts for a couple of hours at the school for Cambree & Cason, along with basketball camp for Cambree!  Cason heads to Preteen Camp with Blu later in the week!  3 baseball games thrown in there, and we'll call it a week!
