Jacarandas

Don't get me wrong--I LOVE Zambia. But, in all honesty, it is UGLY in September and October! There has been no rain since April, and everything is brown. But in the midst of the ugliness, the jacaranda tree comes into full bloom in September. It blooms gorgeous purple blooms that line the roads. As I saw them a few weeks ago in the capitol city, it hit me that God didn't have to make a tree that beautiful, and He didn't have to make it so that it blooms in the ugliest month in Zambia! What an awesome God! :)
