Cason's Mission Trip to Belize!

Cason was so excited this summer to get to take a weeklong mission trip to Belize with GOStudents out of Oklahoma.  He heard about this trip 2 years ago, but he knew he had to be in high school to go, so he waited patiently, put a Belize sticker on the back of his phone, and told us he was going to go!  Sure enough - he did!  He was with a team of 17 and spent a week in Southern Belize leading Recreation for a Vacation Bible School.  It was HOT and he came home exhausted, but I think he enjoyed it!  He said so much of it reminded him of Zambia!  (In fact, when he found a certain kind of candy bar that they sell in Zambia, he bought two, even though they were super pricy!) We are so grateful that our kids have a heart for missions, not just in Africa, but all over the world!

He brought his Mama a squirrel magnet :)

Our fave airport in the USA!

I believe he said he drank 20 Orange Fantas over the course of the week!

Mangos!

He said the little girls loved him :)

This was us at the airport, excited to pick him up!  He opted not to sign into Wi-Fi for the week, so we really missed hearing from him!  However, he surprised us by keeping a journal, so we loved hearing it all when he got home!

Lots of bus rides!

HOT.

You can tell by the pics that the kids loved him!

Serena, from our youth group, was on the team as well!

He cracked open his own coconut but wasn't impressed with the coconut water!

First airplane ride without us!
