School Has Started!

Wow!  A lot has happened since my last post!  School has started, we have made a couple of deliveries, housebuilding is commencing in Bangs, we got slammed with unit sets orders from San Antonio, and Blu took a ministry position at a local church!!  Here's a look at our life lately!

The outside walls are up at the house in Bangs!
Blu uses all the help he can get!  Cason didn't mind earning some extra money!
Cambree has discovered Starbucks!

We enjoyed a night at "Meet the Dragons" to introduce the high school athletes!
Here comes the JV Football Team!

Then he had to run over the join the Band!  (He's at the top playing the trumpet by the "B"!)
He also got to come out of the helmet for Cross Country!

Look how grown up they look!!!!

This is my heart right here!

The great thing about early morning deliveries!  We were on our way to Frisco here!
Here's a look at what Cambree did all summer - she made a quilt with Mama Dee!
She did all of the piecing, the picking of material, and she. made the pillows by herself!
The weekend before school started the kids were busy enjoying their last bit of summer!  I took Cason and AJ to the trampoline park!
And then to see the new Dora movie, which was AWESOME!
Meanwhile, our big two that weekend went to their last big youth event with FBC Bangs - Austin Park and Pizza and a Round Rock Express game!

My Blu Tidwell's daughter trying to get on the Jumbotron at the game!
On Sunday, August 18th, Rocky Creek Baptist Church voted on Blu to be their part-time youth and music minister!  It is a church about 7 minutes from us, and it's the church my Grandma Winsman attended as a little girl!!  So neat!  Here is what our kids were doing while we were waiting in the hall as the church counted the votes!
Cross Country pictures are in!  Practice started August 1st, so Caedmon is constantly heading to cross country after/before football practice!
First day of school finally arrived!!
Caedmon's first day of high school was insane!!  He had football at 7am, then school, then football until 5pm, then drama from 5:30pm - 7:00pm, then band from 7:00pm to 9:30pm!  He was exhausted, has had a bad cold, and struggled to survive this first week!!
Cambree has had a great first week of 8th grade!  She has 8 full classes including Algebra 1 over at the high school!  She was horrified to discover that she has first period (G.T. class) WITH Cason!  She did NOT like that!!  She had 2 cheer practices, 3 cross country practices, and the cheerleaders ran the middle school dance on Friday night!
Cason loved his first week of 6th grade!  Social Studies is his favorite class (as always...) and he also had his first 2 evening football practices this week!  He had a blast with Abby at the middle school dance Friday night! (which Blu and I also chaperoned...so I got ZERO pictures!
Yes, I do steal my kids' pictures from Instagram!  Emily, Raylee, Cambree, Jordan, and Hannon were so excited to be back at school together!
Cambree & Jordan - she's a sweetie!

Cambree & Hannon again!
Caedmon at 10pm on the first day of school!  I was in bed and he came in and said, "I need you to sign all of these papers, we have football at 6:30am tomorrow, and I got my drama script!"
Blu somehow found the time to do this! (with help from Paw!)
Meanwhile, I was in the shop building these...
Malachi, Brayden, and Caedmon after Thursday night's scrimmage!  Caedmon is playing wide receiver on offense and some cornerback/safety on defense.  He has been practicing kicking like crazy, so we'll see if he gets the nod at their first official game next week!
On Thursday, we drove right after the scrimmage to Terrell to spend the night so that we could get up early on Friday and deliver to ETBU in Marshall!
Then we made a quick stop for lunch in Kilgore to see my sis and her family!
On top of homeschooling her 4, she is also working as the part-time church secretary!
Saturday morning was early rising to drive to Jim Ned for Caedmon's first cross country meet!  There were TONS of schools there - about 200 kids in his race!

Poor guy struggled to breathe through the whole thing but ran a 23.52 so he was happy with his time!

I love this pic of tiny Ventura about to pass this huge dude!
One of Caedmon's closest friends, Rylie, can RUN! (If you asked me who Caedmon's "best friend" is, I would tell you Machila.  They talk and text ALL the time when she's home from boarding school!)
The high school cross country team - Jay (a senior) with the Freshmen (Dee, Malachi, Ventura, Chris, & Caedmon!)
We are exhausted after this week, and are relaxing the rest of the weekend!  We have a nice family night tonight, church tomorrow with a potluck, no evening service, and a cookout with family, so hopefully we'll get a nap in there and be ready for week 2 of this school year!
