Things are still busy for us here in Brownwood! Blu has spent the last 5 months getting prepared to be an instructor for the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement class. He spoke last Monday night in Abilene and Tuesday in Brownwood, and he did an AMAZING job!!
Meanwhile, the kids enjoyed another middle school dance...Caedmon almost slept through it! It's tough being a teenager!
Today is Cambree's last basketball game! We have enjoyed watching her (and Caedmon!) play!
Get the rebound!
Post-game pep talk!
Throwing it in!
More excitement in our world is that Cambree quit Band, joined Drama, and was cast as the female lead in the upcoming Spring production!
Jada came over to hang out with us on Sunday and the girls made homemade bath bombs!
Cambree also had the flu recently and rocked her very messy bun! (Why do I feel like this blog is all about Cambree?!)
Here's Cason with his Little Dribblers team - they won 3rd place in the 5th-6th grade league!
Still housebuilding! Finishing up the roof and the fascia boards!
And of course, still working in the shop! We've been working on a massive order for Dallas ISD - we built 40 cubes in 2 days!
And had to deliver to this school...*insert appropriate emoji*
We love our Sunday School class! We had a party the other night and played some awesome games of Clue!
Trying to rejoice in every day!
We have a lot of fun stuff coming up - birthdays, a getaway for me and Blu, and the end of basketball season and starting of track!

January Life
Halfway through the first month of 2019 already! (That is totally something my Dad would say!) The new year has found us back into our routine of VERY early morning basketball practices, school, work in the shop and delivering orders, doing New Day work, church, and of course family time!
On the way back from Cloudcroft, we had to stop by Blu's hometown, Seagraves, to show the kids where Daddy grew up!
I first laid my eyes on Blu on April 9, 1998, in Seagraves High School at a One-Act Play performance!
You know you're in West Texas when...
Caedmon is getting so tall, we had to get him some new clothes! So handsome!
The kids have played tons of basketball games, but I can't manage to get any pictures because I'm so intense/stressed during the game I never think to take a picture! So I got a picture of Cambree warming up!
The best part of away games - bus rides!
She just finished the Twilight series! (And she quit Band, joined Drama, and tries out for her first play tomorrow!)
Besides school, Cason has been busy playing Little Dribblers! He plays for the Legends and always has a big cheering section!
He played one game with staples in his head! So I made a sign to cheer him on!
We've also had a little bit of cousin time this month!
Shopping in the USA - even with all the vast selection, I often find myself buying the same simple things we could buy in Zambia - grapes and green apples!
Lots of progress being made on Mom & Dad's house!
Lunch break!
Cason won a basketball shootout and a gift card to the movies, so he enjoyed watching Spiderman with Blu!
A huge January job - mailing New Day tax letters!
On Friday night, we spent a little time working in the shop - the kids wanted to build some things so the boys worked on benches!
Cambree built us a fire...and looked cute. ;)
And of course, we always throw in a campfire and some s'mores whenever we get the chance!

Cloudcroft Day 6!
Happy New Year! We started 2019 off with a bang! Or a fall, I should say! We slept in and then headed to Ski Cloudcroft for our last day of skiing. Blu was determined to get Cambree to ski, and after an hour on the bunny slopes, she was amazing!! She skied with us for the next 4 hours, and I couldn’t believe how good she was! It looks like we have fallen in love with skiing! On our 4th trip down the mountain, Blu was doing one last run with Caedmon and Cason on the greens to see if they could move up to the blues. Cason (who is fearless and goes soooo fast!!) took a hard tumble and his ski ended up hitting him in the head. Blu was right behind him and ski patrol showed up and bandages him up. We drove to Alamogordo to an Urgent Care, and he got 4 staples! Poor baby! We are ending our New Year’s Day with pizza and pigs in a blanket and The Matrix! Driving home tomorrow! (And planning the next time we can ski, already!)
