Summer is here!

People still read this blog?!  Two different people told me this week that they read my blog, and I was surprised!  And it motivated me to update my blog today.  Honestly, we have pretty horrible internet out here in the country, and it just took me 2 hours to upload these pictures!!!  But I pressed on, so now you can see the last week or so of our lives!

Still delivering unit sets even though summer is here!  We delivered to Argyle and Coppell on Friday!

On the last day of school, the kids had an Award Ceremony!  Cason got an award for AB Honor Roll (he made ONE B all year!), 3rd place in UIL Social Studies, and the 5th grade Science award! 

Cambree got a TON of awards - AB Honor Roll, 7th grade English award, 7th grade Drama award, UIL 1st place Spelling, UIL 1st place Ready Writing, UIL 2nd place Modern Oratory, and 7th grade Student Council!

Let summer begin!

Muggy May!

We are making our way through the month of May and the end of school!  Every night I go and look at our big family calendar and make sure everyone is on track for what's happening the next day!  But I see future BLANK days on my calendar, so that's exciting too!  

Paw & Bmaw got back from their 17 day cruise to Spain!  We missed them!  

All ready for the end of school dance!  Cambree's friend Emily spent some of the weekend with us and had fun together!

Blu got the opportunity to speak to FBC Tolar's youth group on a Wednesday night this month!

We have had a few delivery snafus....Blu accidentally put 3.5 gallons of gasoline in the diesel truck.  We had left at 4:40am  and got to the first gas station at 5:30am to fill up!  He caught it quickly, and all of the truckers there encouraged us to fill it up, add a diesel additive, and keep trucking! We weren't sure, so we called Shade to come help and they tried to siphon it out.  When that wouldn't work and a mechanic finally opened, we called him and he said to fill it up, come get an additive put in, and we'd be fine.  On the way there, Shade said, "What happened to your trailer lights?!"  So we turned around and gave up and tried the whole thing the next day! 

We made it!  And nobody was at the school!!!  Panic!!  Apparently there had been a tornado a few days before and they still had no power.  Thankfully, the custodians were working with headlamps and opened a door for us!

Then, on Sunday, we headed 5.5 hours down to Alvin (Houston) to make another delivery!

We enjoyed the town of Mineola and got to eat at the East Tx Burger Co!

Blu makes everything fun.  Always.
