On Monday, we got up and hit the road again - this time a really nice (non-elephant-laden) road straight to the capitol city! We stopped at Mahalapye at Maxi's for lunch! And a 42 game while we waited for our food!
And then....we drove past the Tropic of Capricorn! This was one of the coolest landmarks/places I have been!
There were columns that had the name of every country the Tropic of Capricorn passes through! Mexico, Namibia, etc. And the Tonga Islands in the Pacific!
A family selfie on the Tropic of Capricorn!
And then we reached Gaborone!! We drove straight to the Kimbroughs house (for some perspective, the country of Zambia has 13 million people in it...with 3 million in the capitol city of Lusaka. The capitol city of Botswana where my sister lives has 200,000 people!) They then drove us over to our Airbnb house (about 10 min away), where we have awesome wifi, DSTV, a swimming pool, and separate rooms and bathrooms for all of us! Then it was back to the Kimbroughs for supper and visiting!
Abigail (my spunky almost 14 year old niece!) and Uncle Blu doing a card trick!
Caedmon & Isaac (my almost 12 year old nephew!) in a game of chess!
Cambree & Uncle Blake doing card tricks!
Cason and Amos (my 9 year old nephew)
Dad on dish duty with Dawni!
My scizzer!
