Well, we survived our first week of school and are definitely in a routine now! We feel very settled (physically) and ready to see what God has for us. As I write this, it is a nice Sunday afternoon where the kids are in the pool with their cousins and a new friend from church, Blu is mounting our new basketball goal, and I am updating my blog before sneaking in a Sunday afternoon nap! Here is a look at our first week of school!
Ready to conquer 5th, 7th, and 8th grades - all at the middle school this year!
Caedmon, who "tons of girls have a crush on," as Cambree tells us...
Cambree, who was surprised at the challenge of Athletics but is giving her all and enjoying it! (First volleyball game on Thursday!)
Cason, who is loving Band and will most likely be playing the trombone! (finds out for sure on Monday!)
Our sign (and family motto) for the first day of school! Funny story - Mom and I had to run out to the school again at 10:30am after realizing Cambree forgot her lunch...on the first day!)
School means football! The moms are making football locker decoration for Caedmon's locker in the locker room! Thank goodness for Mama Dee!
And thank goodness for Blu knowing how to do a mouth guard!
Caedmon is taking Algebra I at the high school as an 8th grader, so he's learning how to use a BIG calculator... thank goodness for Daddy again!
We are pretty much done with our house! Just lacking a few outdoor things and the loft/media room upstairs! Here is a glimpse, but we'd rather you just come see us!
I went with silver polish paint with white trim and pops of color throughout the house..I love it! Here is our guest bath.
The kitchen
The living room
Our master bedroom
My Eiffel tower master bathroom :)
We also started working in the shop full force this week. I learned a lot of new things - cutting canvas, canvassing flats and pylons, and painting wraps!
Meanwhile, Blu spent time in the shop and also did a delivery to 3 schools in the DFW area with his brother Shade.
Lunch break (We also met Johnny Boy, Pat, and Vanessa for lunch this week but I was too busy eating chips & salsa to take any pictures..!!)
The first middle school dance of the year...Caedmon looking fly! (Do they say that anymore? Probably not.)
Caedmon and Sierra have kept up communication since last Fall. She's a sweetie. :)
Cambree - aaaaahhh slow down time!
Cambree met Ethan (a friend from church) at the dance (which in middle school apparently means the guy pays your way in and then you dance with him a few times and giggle with your friends the rest of the time...!)
Paw took some outside photo of Cambree before the dance!
Cason, as a 5th grader, is in middle school and got to attend the dance. He was SOOO nervous!
All 3 kids at the school for 3 hours on a Saturday night = date night for us! Chili's, Home Depot, Walmart, and we MIGHT have gone parking at Bangs Hill...#ipleadthefifth
We got to see Teacher Debbie on Saturday as she brought us a cat for Cambree! Meet Little Bit, who already rules the roost over here!
