First up - Monday night's band Christmas Concert! Our kids have worked so hard this Fall to learn a new instrument (the trumpet for both)! So proud of them!
So fun to see Caedmon play with the Junior High band!
And Cambree with the beginner band!

Tuesday was finally the day for the District UIL competition! I was SUPER excited about this, because UIL was a huge part of my academic life in school, and we worked SO hard with the kids on their events this Fall!
Final results are in: Caedmon - 5th in Number Sense, 1st place team! Cambree - 1st in Spelling, 1st place team, 2nd (tie) in Modern Oratory, 4th place Oral Reading, and 5th place Ready Writing. Cason - 3rd place in Art Smart, 1st place team! Bangs also won the entire meet for both Elementary and Junior High!
Once the kids got home, we drove for an hour and 15 min to Stephenville to eat some Hard 8 BBQ with our friends the Garretts! (The boys could not be bothered to smile for a picture...)

Wednesday was a normal day of working in the shop, Orthodontist for Cambree, and poor Cason was sick so we skipped church. Thursday was the last day of school for the kids! Caedmon also had his last basketball game!
It warmed my heart to see the team give him hugs after the game!
On Friday, I made lunch for Deb & Diana and we visited as Blu got the New Day container items ready to go to Kansas!
Saturday morning, we had Cason's first (and last) Little Dribblers game! He still wasn't feeling well and said his favorite part was sitting on the bench so he could rest!

After the game, Blu headed on the 10 hour drive up to Kansas with Caedmon. Cambree went to a friend's house for the afternoon to hang out, so I got some time with this little guy! I had promised him a trip to Doc's Drugstore this furlough for some fudge - finally made it happen!
And we found Santa!
Sat night, it was just me and Cambree and Cason, so we watched a girlie movie on Netflix!
And slept in the big bed!
We got the giggles and were overall pretty silly!
Cambree rolled her eyes at our nonsense...
Meanwhile..in Kansas...Blu & Caedmon had some quality bonding time on their long trip!

Not too much to unload this year!

Sunday afternoon, I kidnapped Paw & Bmaw and wouldn't let them leave because I needed some adult conversation! They had a blast on their cruise but we are glad to have them back!
