We enjoyed our weekend in Gonzales, Texas, staying with the Blundell family! Allison spent several weeks at New Day in the summer of 2011, and since then she has been at least 3 other times that I can think of! Her parents (and aunt/uncle) made the trip with her this summer, and they were the ones who (God bless them) escorted our kids back to the USA! We enjoyed the cute little town of Gonzales (with TONS of Texas History!), sharing with the church and meeting their fabulous staff, and doing some outdoorsy things!
We love these people!
So sweet to have a welcome sign for us!
This church has been around a LONG time!
I snuck a picture! Blu preached the 2 morning services. During the second one, Cason leaned over to me and asked, "Why is he saying all the same things AGAIN?!"
My second time in 2 weeks on one of these things!!!
Me and Allison...in America!
Jane cooked us some GOOD meals!
Barbara & Mike came over for supper Saturday night!
Uncle Mike sat at the kids' table and kept them entertained!
Those steaks were delicious, but THIS giant Reese's peanut butter cup....oh wow ;)
We NEVER go fishing, but we've been twice in the last month! Blu got 2 nice bass!
Caedmon got a bass but wasn't interested in touching it! #thatsmyboy
But he did a good job reeling it in!
Cambree caught about 9 perch - every time she cast, within like 15 seconds she had another one!
Cason caught lots of perch too!
I caught a baby... :)
The kids LOVED kayaking on the pond!
Look at this - a Mother's Day frame for Jane, with Misheck (who she sponsors) included!
Blu & Garlan checking the fish feeder!
Sunset - so beautiful!
Looking back across their house, which is decorated in gorgeous cabin themes!
And to add to all of the fun, a zip line!
Thanks for a fun weekend! Now it's back to school, where it's Spirit Week at Bangs ISD! And, back at New Day, it's the first day of school!
Mom & Dad ready for their first day!
