Push the Rock

We had such a fun Saturday morning in Macha, Zambia (about 30 miles away...takes about 70 minutes due to bad roads!). An organization called Push the Rock is there (based in Pennsylvania with locations worldwide). This is a sports ministry that plays with kids, teaches them sports, all while sharing the Gospel. The Push the Rock team has come to New Day a few times to work with our kids, but they invited us there this morning for some friendly competition, so off we went!

5 of our girls played a basketball game! It was their first ever game (yesterday was their first practice!), and they lost 10-6 but had fun!

We also divided up into teams and played disc golf on their amazing 9 hole course!

We got to see Teacher Madalitso, who lives at Macha where he is attending nursing school!

We ended with a soccer field - their field was HUGE!! Our boys played great and lost 1-0, with Mweene having some awesome saves at goalie!
