The first day of school is upon us! Someone recently commented that it seems our school years in Zambia go by really fast! That is because we do year-round schooling, with breaks in April, August, and December. Some moms like me like to take pics of the first day of school in January, May, and September! But today is our ACTUAL first day of the 2017 school year! I was certainly ready for the routine and schedule of a new school year!
Off we go!
My babies are getting big!
Caedmon started 7th grade today!
Cambree started 6th grade!
And Cason started 3rd grade!
Me and my muscle man!
Mom & Dad were ready! (Don't you just wanna break out in Edelweiss looking at Dad?!) Dad is teaching 6th and 7th grade Bible and Science. Mom is teaching 2nd, 4th, and 6th grade Language Arts!
OK, so here's some random pictures from the last week. As we drove out of New Day, we saw Georgina (who is in her 90s) working in her field...there are no words!
Last week, we worked hard cleaning out school classrooms and closets - Jacey volunteered for the job of pulling things out of the closet - watch our for spiders!
This is Maluba - we have sponsored her since 7th grade and she started college this week to get her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine - SOOOO proud of this girl!
Look what Blu's mom found - a throwback of Caedmon & Uncle Mulenga!
A random group photo from New Year's!
Our anniversary was last weekend and we got to go to Livingstone and spend a night and eat some amazing food - love Indian food!
Cambree is always willing to cook - she created her own meal when I had a really busy day and it was amazing!
Ground beef over rice with stir fried peppers!
Nurse Carol is here - first job: cleaning the girls' infected ears!
Time for some haircuts around the Tidwell house!
You just never know what Papa Ron is going to show up wearing!! ;)
