Beijing - Headed home!
Our Saturday consisted of a lot of this....
And this....
After a 4am wakeup call, we headed to the Beijing Airport where we found TONS of lines for Immigration and Security - even leaving 3 hours before our flight, we got there with just a few minutes to spare before boarding! (Oct 1-7 is a national holiday in Beijing, so lots of people traveling).
5am at the airport, ready to go!
Better not pack those crystal balls!
We flew over the Himalayas again and K2!
We made it to Dubai and were on the escalator when I realized Blu had on his SuperJesus shirt...in this VERY Muslim country. :)
Nothing happened...
You just never know what you're going to find!
This is the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world!
So neat to fly over the Arabian Peninsula!
Our flight to Johannesburg was uneventful, except for some major jet lag...our bodies are a little confused! It was crazy to try to keep up with what time it was in Beijing, Dubai, Zambia, Blu's mom in Seattle, Blu's dad/brothers in Texas!
All was going smoothly until we got in the airport hotel shuttle bus line and had to wait ONE HOUR for our shuttle!! I was a little grumpy! When we finally got there, we fell into bed after 25 straight hours awake! It is Sunday morning now, and we are headed to catch our flight to Livingstone, do some major grocery shopping, and drive 3 hours back to New Day. Vacation is officially over!
