This is our rental house in Orleans on Cape Cod, called "Grandma's House!" We love the hot tub in the back!
Our first stop of the day was the Jonathan Young Windmill
So pretty!
Then we drove up to the tip of the Cape - Provincetown - to Race Point Beach! We walked for FOUR miles - exhausting!!
Awww....40 years!!
They had this "trash art" all along the beach where people could pile up trash that they find when walking! The beaches were SO clean!
After our LONG trek, we headed over to the restaurant voted #1 best seafood on Cape Cod - The Lobster Pot!
I got a fish taco with sweet potato fries, but Blu's fried shrimp was AMAZING!!
Never thought I'd see my mama in a bikini!!
Gorgeous fall colors!
My crazy husband!
We saw the Pilgrim Monument and said, "Let's climb that!!"
Of course, it looked a little more menacing as we got closer....
We did it!!
We stopped at a Portuguese Bakery for some cappuccinos and Napoleons. The funniest thing happened - these old ladies from Mississippi came in and asked the lady at the counter, "What is Portuguese?" She was confused, but the ladies kept asking, "We just don't understand - we've never had it. Is it an herb or something?" The lady was like, "Um, let me get the manager.." So he came out and the ladies tell him they've never heard of Portuguese and are wondering what it is. He said "Everything in the bakery is Portuguese." They went on and on, asking if it is an herb or what it means...it was hilarious!
Strolling along the pier
I love this picture of mom & dad on the pier!
Ready to head back to our house, looking for a lighthouse on the way!
We found one at Nauset Beach - beautiful!
We came home and jumped in the hot tub, are making some hot tea, and ready to play some 42!
