Sept 18-24!

Busy busy - that's us!

Last Tuesday, Caedmon had his 3rd Cross Country meet at Ranger College in Ranger, Texas! Cambree came with me (it was an hour drive and I didn't want to go by myself!) and loved supporting her big brother!

Ready for the 2 mile race!

Run, Caedmon, run!

So tired!

He got 5th place in the 7th grade boys division!

We told Cambree she must have been his good luck charm!

Sporting some bruises from football practice!

Meanwhile I am spending some of my mornings at the gym doing Body Pump and Body Combat classes!

And Blu is working for his Dad...

And taking naps whenever he can...

These two decided they loved each other one day last week and wanted to dress alike!

Cambree is getting all her prep work done for braces!

Last Wednesday night, the kids helped us share about New Day at First Baptist Church in Early, TX! Caedmon told an evangelistic story and served nshiba!

Cambree taught the kids how to play "kupwa"

And Cason taught some Tonga to the kids!

On Thursday, we had a 2.5 hour drive to Caedmon's first away football game in Coahoma, Tx! Here he is getting a drink of water! He is on the kickoff team and got in for lots of plays at Cornerback.

Cason wasn't impressed..

Bangs Dragons win 24-6!

On Friday Blu had to go to Stephenville to get an MRI on his knee and we had our weekly lunch date at McAlister's Deli!

Saturday, Cason's soccer team, the Titans, had a game! They lost, but Cason had a REALLY good game!

Cambree got some roundoff practice in for gymnastics!

On Thursday night, Teacher Diana's mom Barbara went to be with Jesus. We attended her beautiful praise & worship service/funeral on Saturday afternoon.

Seems like Teacher Debbie is our funeral buddy this Fall - no more funerals, we hope!

On Saturday evening, we had a date night to see Caity's play, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, at the Lyric Theatre!

We left the kids with Paw & Bmaw for the weekend so they wouldn't miss out on the kids practicing their trumpets - haha!

On Sunday morning, we headed to Bartlett, TX bright and early!

We love coming here - the church I grew up in, and the church we got married in!

Blu & Kofi, who is now the Varsity quarterback as a Freshman!

Blu & Chad, the bringer of ChadCo to New Day, ready to save the world!

I failed to get pictures, but our Sunday evening was very busy as we had a supper/meeting with the Missions Committee at Immanuel Baptist in Temple, TX, shared a presentation during the evening service, shared with Immanuel's Awanas, and then visited during a cookie/punch fellowship! It was a great time seeing old friends and sharing!

We drove a few miles down the road to Georgetown, TX, and stayed in a hotel so we could have a Monday morning meeting with the pastor of Crestview Baptist, where we will be sharing on November 5th!

The kids enjoying breakfast with their cousins and Bmaw!

Meanwhile, back at New Day...

Burning around the orphanage!

Mom & Dad are taking over our Discipleship classes while we're gone - so grateful for them!

Our week consists of Gymnastics, soccer practice, Perspectives class, Blu's 36th birthday, a knee appointment to read the MRI, a home football game, and an early release day Friday where we may do a fun family outing! Have a great week!

Weekend in College Station, TX!

Before our weekend started, we had to sit next to this green guy at the pep rally.... ;)

After getting in at 10:30pm from the Friday night football game, we got up early for the drive to College Station to make it to the Aggie game at 11am! Early Saturday mornings are no fun. American donut shops are fun.

The kids went into a donut coma...

Everyone woke up for Buc-ees though!

Once we arrived, we dropped the boys off at a bus stop for a shuttle to the Aggie game! The boys were excited for their first game!

Meanwhile, us girls had a girls day out - shopping, lunch, and pedicures! I loved watching Cambree dance through the stores!

She never does get much, but she LOVES to try things on!

Manchu Wok for the win!

Burke's! Our favorite!

Purple toes for us!

And meanwhile...back at the Aggie game...

It was HOT.

Such fun!

Blu said Caedmon was mesmerized by every aspect of the game!

Cason....not so much.

Did I mention it was hot?

Cason was impressed with the corndogs!

We spent Saturday evening with our dear friends and mentors, the Duncan family! Steve and Kathy (ok, mostly Kathy) made us a delicious supper!

The 6 Duncans and 3 Tidwells!

Cason with Caleb & Zach

Josh, Caedmon, and Elissa

We've known Josh since he was 4....and here he is doing college Engineering homework with his dad!

On Sunday morning, we headed to Parkway Baptist - the church where "ministry" first began for me and Blu! Bob & Blu used to jam back in the day!

Cambree, Sarah, Elissa, and Madelynn

Cason & Josh

Pastor Chris & Cindy - so good to see them!

After church, we had some yummy pizza at Adam and Lyndsey's house before hitting the road to head back to Brownwood!

We are back home now - all unpacked, homework done, and a family movie night before we start another week!
